We have a Foscam FI9821W that we use as a baby monitor and recently it has developed a black center to the image as shown in the photo.  It tends to go away for a little bit when powered off and on again but then it comes back.

Has anyone seen this before? Just wondering if the issue has a name so I can go back to the seller

Cheers

Not seen that. I have an extremely cheap camera that I put on a microphone stand for my printer and its never done anything like that.

It's this one. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/2015-Newest-Mini-IP-Camera-720P-Securiy-HD-Network-CCTV-Camera-Mega-pixel-indoor-Network-IP/32313946280.html

Got a few more to stick up around the place where I CBF cabling to on the way.

I know this isn't much help but we habe had a Foscam FBM3501 for over a year now and it has been great. No issues at all. Highly recommended if you can't get your one sorted. Having the base unit dedicated to the camera makes it a lot easier to monitor baby all the time.

It sounds like a capacitor in the video circuit failed, but you can try a different power supply just in case it went faulty resulting in noise on the power upsetting the video circuit.

It appears there is an interdimensional portal in your baby's crib.

You may want to get that looked at.
