Hello all,

Yesterday night I finally received my Echo. :) All happy and works automagically.

Now, I do have a couple of questions: by going into Music and Media, under Accounts, I can only find Amazon Music, Spotify and TuneIn.

There is no way for me to add Pandora and iHeartRadio apparently, as they are not there. Moreover, if I go under Default Music Service, Pandora and iHeartRadio are greyed out and cannot be selected. Just wondering if there's any way to add Pandora, at least?

Still have to tackle the change in Timezone and Address. Or at least try if that might work.

Cheers,

Emanuele

Hi, I've had an Echo now for a couple of weeks and the kids love adding chocolate, pizza, swimming pool, etc to the shopping list. I have a few queries.

As per KiwiOne, has anyone got Pandora or iHeartRadio working and how?

Is there a way to easily export the shopping list (other than email via IFTT)?

Is there a way to get the Alexa app. Both my Android and IOS accounts won't give me access because of region?

Thanks,

Sip

You need to download the APK somehow and sideload it on your phone. If someone else doesn't have it handy, pm me tonight I'll track it down for you.

Signup for Todoist and enable the Alexa integration. It integrates the Alexa shopping list and todo list with the Todoist app and you can share the lists with multiple Todoist users (i.e. I have it installed the app on both mine and the wifes phones and they both sync with the shopping list on Alexa). Works really well.

but when you remove things from the Todist list, does it remove it from the list in Alexa (I read somewhere that was an issue)

Yep, completing an item in the Todoist app instantly marks that item as complete in the Alexa list.

Great timing, just got email yesterday that my Dot 2 has shipped and on its way :). So after I get Todo list and Openhab working what else do I need?

You will need to do nothing - you can sit back and let Alexa do all the work ;).

Thanks for the assistance - looks like a busy night ahead.

I have plans to integrate Alexa with Crestron and Vantage Automation systems. I'll update if and when I have any success. Vantage is first on the list as I'm more comfortable with that and have more readily available support.

TBC...

"alexa install"

We actually need another keyword. I have a son called Alex. Talking to him, wakes her all the time. Plus we talk about amazon a lot so that won't work either.  Rumplestilskin maybe?

You know you can set it up to use "Echo" or "Amazon" instead of Alexa, right?

Just not sure why you would exclude customers, but I'm not in sales.

It has to do with licensing.
