Anyone got any experience with these?

Im after roller blinds for 2 living dining and kitchen areas.

I'm on iOS so really want to ensure its HomeKit enabled but also don't want to limit any future buyer to having to be an Apple user so can you get Blinds that can be used cross platform also?

Any idea of cost vs normal chain driven blinds?

A.

I've used Online Blinds a bit recently. Really good service and the quotation tool works well.

They've got plenty of options for motorization (including pricing) but none of their controllers are smart. You will need an interface between the motor and whatever smart controller you end up with (e.g. Fibaro). This isn't a bad thing (though more spendy) since it's pretty flexible. You don't end up with iBlinds which can only be controlled by Siri. If you move/sell etc., you can restore the default controller and take your smart controller with you.

I have retrofitted these units from Teptron MOVE and they have been very successful. Controlled from an app on my phone or from the unit themselves. The units are bluetooth. I see that they are developing another unit that is for home automation and is z wave based. My blinds are roller blinds and the biggest is a unit that is two drops that run floor to ceiling and work in unison. The motor unit has no trouble with this and the unit are very quiet when going up or down.

They come from Sweden but only took a week from order to arrival in NZ so good service

Thanks for your comments people. very helpful.

MDF, I've had a look at the Fibaro website but can't see the specific controller that I would need to interface with the blinds?

Actually, We are providing a range of 3 different tubular motors , included 0.7Nm and 1.5Nm Built-in receiver tubular motor and 1.1Nm built-in Lithium Battery tubular motor which can combine use with the solar panel charger,

and there is another top model which is ultra quite 2.0Nm built-in Lithium battery tubular motor coming later. They are not HomeKit enable at the moment, but they can be Amazon Alexa Echo enable via Broadlink RM Pro universal

Home automation Hub ( IR+RF remote control), so you can control the motorised curtains or roller blinds via voice commands.
