Probably obvious to most GZers but I didn't realise until recently that restarting the S3 can make a significant improvement to responsiveness. I've found an appreciable gain doing this over and above closing all recently opened apps.

Does anyone know how to make the call forwarding work properly when it is disconnected from the phone? I have the frontier (e-sim) version R765N. I have auto call forwarding on which "Forward(s) calls from your phone to your Gear if they're connected remotely, but if you hit help it says "Forward calls made to your phone to your Gear automatically when they're not connected." Turning it on it rings on both phone and watch when connected, turning it off it only rings only the phone. Turning it on when they're not connected still only rings the phone and doesn't foward.

I had the same issue as other in this thread with not being able to update to Tizen3. Spoke to support and got this answer:
Going back, I understand that this is important to you, however, for Tizen 3, we have it available for model number SM-R760 and SM-R770 at the moment. We haven't got any idea on when it will be available for SM-R765N.
The model number on my watch is SM-R765N so I don't think I will be getting the update anytime soon. According to support the SM-R765N version is the one with the embeded SIM.
I have the SM-R765N with 3G capability as well. I got a similar response from Samsung, although they did say they would update me when it became available.
I also have the same model, and would love to have version 3. Samsungs only response was to wait. I have heard you may be able to use some Android wear features with Tizen 3, 3, making it compatible with ASB. I was really hoping for some Samsung Pay/banking apps.

I am getting on average only 2 days from my gear s3. I stopped wearing it for about 3-4 months for various reasons, but it seems like it's constantly needing charged. I am sure I was getting 4 days previously.
Anyone able to comment? I saw there was an update in April mentioned online, that supposedly improved battery life, but I am unsure if I have that update or how to get it?

Dingbatt: My battery life has halved since the April update. Used to get two days, now I get one. The main villain is the Watchmaker App. My preference to use it though, as I have it set up to change faces in different locations (work, home, car, etc).
How can I tell what is using my battery on the S3?

Use the gear app on phone to check usage (on app homescreen, About Gear, Battery)
I haven't noticed any difference since April, have always only got max ~36h but that's with continuous wifi and GPS, heart rate monitor every 10 minutes, set brightness to 7.
I get around 2-3 days wear from a full charge but don't remember getting much more to be honest - even before the update. Not that I ever leave it that long between charges.
That said, I take my watch off when I wake in the morning and put it on charge - normally it is fully charged again by the time I leave for work an hour later. The exception is when I have the face set to always on - then it needs a longer charge.
Watch is at currently 88% since taking off charge at 7am. Which I guess could give me around 3 days if I were to push it.

Thanks - didn't know about that.

Any word on when Tizen 4.0 will be released for the Gear S3 Frontier in NZ?
