freitasm:

@maxeon no, I have to ask my Fire TV to show it. It won't automatically show on the device.

Thanks. There goes my idea.

maxeon: They do that a lot. Wrong stuff sent to me twice

Wow you were not wrong with this statement.

I didn't just get the 1 replacement Chime unit.

Not 2 either

Not 3 either

Not 4 either

But 49 Chime units. Yes 49!!!!

3 large boxes, each with 16 Chimes + the 1 single chime.

WOW WOW WOW

Ok, that's a world record. Perhaps they think you are a warehouse reseller? lol

What are your plans with them now?

Oh and before anybody asks, NO, they are not for sale.

I believe in Karma and honesty so have asked them to come and collect them.

Just to follow up on my original complaint, the high frequency oscillation is also present on the replacement Chime. I borrowed a Chime Pro and selected the same sound.

The overall volume on the Chime Pro seems to be lower than the Chime, but as per the grabs from the spectrum analyser, the Chime Pro doesn't have this high frequency oscillation.

They're owned by Amazon. Losing money is in their name.

So another small box has turned up this morning from Ring. I did ask them to send me a Chime Pro as I wasn't happy with the high frequency oscillation from the Chime. But this was via a chat session with them at about 8pm last night. Would I have got it that fast to West Auckland?

Will see what is inside the box when I get home tonight.

To be honest I'd love to see you set them all up in your house and ring the doorbell. Could be worth a bit of Reddit karma if you could pull it off.

especially if you set a different chime on each one.

The Pro version comes with another chime.

The Ring Pro is good value considering it is much better in most ways plus it includes a chime. Has to be wired in though.

I'm not getting a Ring Pro. Just getting the Chime Pro (hopefully). I'm using the V2 wireless doorbell.
