I am looking at getting a Jabra 510 for use with Skype (regular, not skype for business) for calling friends and family.

My wife will be using it mainly at home to connect to her Mac or mobile via BT and then make calls via speakerphone.

I'm interested in experiences from others that have it in a similar setup.  She often calls in evenings when working around the kitchen or in lounge and there will be some background noise (TV,kitchen pots etc).  So its important to have a BT speakerphone with good mics so we dont compromise on voice quality.

However, I'm also considering getting a better bluetooth speaker (one primarily designed for music) but that has a decent mic for voice calling.  I know there will be some compromise as these aren't predominantly designed for conf/speaker phone calling. But thought I'd see if there are any good options / alternatives to JAbra 510?

Shortlist here is the:

I use a Jabra 510 daily for conferencing online and mobile. It is excellent and highly recommended for this purpose.

Voice quality is excellent.

If she is in the kitchen, you may have issues when cooking because of the microwave trashing 2.4GHz stuff like bluetooth.

Yep always a risk hey. I think we’ll be ok. She hardly uses the microwave.
I’ve looked at a few reviews and jabra seems best option for us.
