Thanks. That one must be a '1st Generation'. The 2nd Gen is $3-4 dearer. The only differences, I'm guessing, is the sweat proof circuitry, and maybe the colored neck cord.

One reviewer said the cord annoyed him because when it moved on his neck, he could hear the rubbing sound in his ears.

Did you notice that?

No I notice no noise from it at all.  I run, bike, ski, gym, mow lawns in them and i don't notice any noise from the cable.

I did have these  before and the noise from the cable was terrible.  Sound quality was slightly better but as soon as you moved the cable rubbed on your neck.

The only two issues that I have noticed are the screws holding it together have gotten rusty, but I use them daily and I sweat alot, like forming puddles after running into / from work (6km), and the cable doesn't quite bounce back like it used to.

Neither issue bothers me.

One caveat, I am not an audiophile, I listen to punk rock on old mp3s.  Sound from cheap tvs doesn't bother me.  I can hear good sound, it's just the quality of the recording doesn't bother me.

Thanks again blackjack17, most informative.

Sounds like these buds are a good plan, and should work ok with the FiiO,

Cheers smile

PS: I'm not an audiophile either, not music anyway. I'll probably listen to audio-books :-)
