danepak: In regards to power for the doorbell, I don’t understand why he ran two cat6 cables.
One is obviously for the future proof of a PoE camera.
Don’t understand the other one and I thought he would be running a small low volt power cable to power the camera doorbell.
Or maybe this will be added later?

The cat 6 is a small low voltage cable. That's fine to use with the nest! cat 6 is cheap, I would have done the same, gives me more options later on as there will be 3 spare pairs in the cat6 that supplies the nest.

Sweet, so nothing to worry about then.
Thanks for your input. Just trying to get my head around all of this.
3 spare pairs? But only 2 cables. Sorry, how does that work?

Cable is cheap so they prob run the 2nd as a backup. Saying that if they are not going to run a doorbell wire, you can still use a CAT6 cable to power a doorbell like Nest or Ring without a problem.

Do whatever you want to do man.

You only need one pair of the cat6 to supply the nest with power leaving you with 3 pairs in that one cable spare, and the other cable untouched.

Got the camera earlier this week.
Took a couple of screenshots, to give me an idea of using the included 5 degree wedge or not.

Without wedge:

Nice. I would use it with the wedge. You still cover good portion of your front entrance door and person that will open it but most importantly you cover more of people that may stand outside the covered portico area.
