Countryman98:

Still on the lookout for feeds in Australia, South Island, Christchurch, Invercargill, Dunedin, Oban, also the Chatham Island if available and Wellington NZ. Anything really.

I have a feeder based in Masterton, I'm tracking up to Hawkes Bay, out West to Nelson ish, miss a bit of Wellington, still just an inside antenna, will be putting an outside one up soon.

Countryman98:

If you're running VRS Virtual Radar Server and would like to share some data feed's contact me.

I'm feeding a bunch of sites, including a few with VRS, I can add yours if you want.

There doesn't seem to be an option to PM you here, so see if you can PM me...

Anyone know what the deal is with RNZAF aircraft reporting altitude but not position? I'm in the flight path for Whenuapai and have had an Orion circling over the house over the last two days but only get altitude info, no position. Seems kinda silly, PLC1 broadcasts its position but a giant, noisy, easily-visible Orion tries to hide(?) by not doing so.

Oh, and if whoever's in charge of HER05 (AC130) is reading this, you forgot to turn your transponder off about two hours ago :-).

This may be a pure coincidence, but it just got switched off. And here I was waiting to see whether it'd overflow the message counter.

That's poor MLAT coverage.

Ah, that sounds right. It seems to be spending most time in the Riverhead area where there's hills and ridges in the way so I could see that it'd affect coverage.

FR24 and others have a few levels

1, Removed from display (COU Tom Cruise GH)

- BARR/ASDI/LADD blocking - FAA managed list that is adhered to

- Individual official request

2, Business jet stealth - Show model type only

3, Military -  in one of above

Our Hercs/orions are as above, MLAT. They are only stealth-ed as far as showing the type on main trackers. Calculated based on multiple receiver contact from Altitude only (above about 1300ft). Again.. we like that. Don't jepordise :) (Orions often to sensitive monitoring in the ocean areas)

PLC have upgraded NAV with GPS input (that's what gives positions). But are removed from main trackers due request. And as far as most concerned.. working

Move along...

Are you still looking for a feeder in CHCH? I got feeder feeding FlightAware

Can't you use the AdsbExchange data as it's free if you are a feeder.

Hey Mate,

Yeah i'm actually having email discussions with James from Adsbexchange as we speak (Just typing the email).

James however is not a big fan of Virtual Radar Server and the other Software that i use flightairmaps.

I would prefer to keep the feed's local ie: NZ, AUS rather than the whole world but will see what i can work out with James.

If you're keen on a feed swap for Christchurch i will also be keen as i don't currently have a feed in CHCH.

Feel free to PM me if you wish to discuss more.
