Getting back on-topic (sorry), this recently popped up on Kickstarter. Looks interesting but I'm slightly dubious about its ability to distinguish one kitty face from another, HM the Cat has a near-identical clone who lives a few houses up and it typically takes several looks from humans to tell them apart.
