Well that doesn't sound positive. I have picked up a Kindle here in the UK. So does that mean that if I was to come home it wouldn't work yet until they sign a deal? My Mum is wanting one aswell, not much point if she can't use it down under.

I have to say that the Kindle is a great device. It downloads books via 3G in around 5 secs. Plus the quality of the screen is crazy, it's like reading actual print.

If you have an International Kindle with a non NZ Amazon account the Kindle works fine in NZ.

You simply can't ship a Kindle to NZ or use one with a NZ Amazon account.
