Hi there.

I was wondering if anybody in the IT industry, has a position, or contacts who's looking for a position.

22 year old male.

I have a fairly decent knowledge across a wide variety of things, so I find it hard to note everything I can do, as it's across a wide variety.

I can diagnose, and repair, unlock Android/iPhones, and usually I spend hours working on it, till I get it 100% working and this includes re-flashing the firmware, downloading special tools online, to repair it if it's an unusual issue. Sometimes if there's multiple issues, I'm usually successful at eradicating them too.

Also good at repairing/troubleshooting rebuilding laptops, and Desktop machines, and I tend to repair usually repairable parts, such as replacing the cable on a USB keyboard, that's gone bad.

Also Cash Converters, on their trademe store, often list "Faulty" items, for next to nothing, only for me to buy it, and a few hours of tinkering, it's as good as new, and I paid something like $5 for a video camera, still worth over $100 today, and all it needed was a few adjustments software wise.

I also can repair gaming consoles, such as Xbox 360s, Playstation 3s, I've successfully brought a few Ylodded PS3s back from the dead, one of which I bought for $20, and afterwards the repair was finished, is being used by the family for heavy gaming, and it is still going strong. Not bad for a fat PS3, for that cheap.

I'm not strong on the programming side, however I have excellent knowledge of all Microsoft Operating Systems, from Windows 3.1, all the way up till Windows 8, and while MS office isn't my strong point, I can use it properly.

If anybody can, or knows somebody who can take me on, it will be good to hear from you.\

Thanks

Any qualifications ? Any work experience ?

You'll find helpdesks are a great starting point to get some experience and knowledge on the networking/internet side of things while you look for a position in the area you want to get into.

Hi, located in Auckland, and regarding qualifications I have a level 5 diploma in computer engineering, and regarding work experience, no prior experience in a company environment, but have 15 years self taught experience, with building, repairing, and troubleshooting issues, with hardware, software, and configuring Modem settings.

Essentially fixing up what I F..ked up.

I have been in a few interviews where profanities were uttered relatively soon into them. Depending on the context I don't necessarily think it's a bad thing. I have been in an interview where my soon-to-be boss was particularly relaxed and various swear words were thrown around 15-20 mins in. He was a good boss to work for... despite the role being in a corporate environment!
