I currently work in an IT-related field and typically lack the amount of time I'd like to work on my own software-related side projects.

I'd like to offer the opportunity for perhaps an IT student (or currently flatting IT professional) in Auckland to assist with some software development in exchange for a comfortable place to stay and potential business opportunities.

I'm flexiable as to the arrangemet but as a starting point I was considering; accomodation in exchange for 10hrs software development per week + $50 to cover expenses, perhaps $100 if meals are included.

Software Projects

I have a few business opportunities I'd like to pursue involving mobile app & web development.

My software skillset is in PHP, MySQL, AWS Architecture, basic design, Linux/Windows which your skills will complement.

You should ideally have a good grasp of Javascript, HTML5 & CSS and be comfortable with using of the cross-platform development tools like Cordova to develop for Android, iOS as well as web.

I also regularly outsource small software projects in my current line of work so there will be opportunities for income there if desired.

We are a young easy going Kiwi professional couple (currently +1 Chinese homestay) living in nice quiet neighbourhood in Henderson Heights, west Auckland.

House is a large 4-bedroom (1x currently used as an office) with open plan living, large private balcony onto bush. Fully insulated, warm, fireplace & heatpumps, 34/9Mbps Unlimited VDSL, Plex & VM server. Internal garage with good storage. Your room would be a large private loft at the other end of the house, fully furnished. Can provide access to PC etc if needed.

We are 4min walk from a bus stop which can take you into the CBD or train station if you don't have a vehicle or we can help you out with transport as we do with our homestay. Numerious parks, walkways and shop within a few minutes walk or 30min walk to Westfield Shopping centre.

PM me your details if you're interested and obviously we'd need to arrange to meet up and see if it can work for both of us.
