Here's a great selection of cases for those of you with time to kill waiting for your deliveries.  Im liking the Calypso case! Wink

My order confirmation email from Apple is timestamped 1.15am, and I'm still sitting at 3-4 weeks. I ordered a white 64GB.

Thanks for the cases link. I've been doing a load of research on that over the last few days and my list of requirements is:

Not too bulky (but a little is okay)
Drop protection
Unlikely to mark the phone
Raised outer edge to protect the screen

My top pick is the Speck Candyshell, which has all these features. They ship internationally but they are sold out of the colour I want, so I'm waiting for that to come back in before I order. I'd also like an alternate case, something slim and clear like the Cygnett AeroGrip, although it would need to still conform to the above specifications (although I realise the drop protection on such a slimline case would be lessened). I've been accused over the weekend of being obsessed about the cases, but at least it gives me something to do while I wait for the phone to arrive :o)

Well I have had 24hrs to have a play with the iPhone 5 and so far very impressed and those of you who are looking at upgrading in my opinion it is worth it.
Positive things I have found:-
- Light weight: this has blown me away the iPhone 5 is much lighter.
- Possessor speed is a vast improvement, spent quiet some time surfing the net etc and found the phone to be considerably faster than the iPhone 4 and 4S
- Camera...WOW this is the part I am very impressed with. The image quality is far superior to the 4 and 4s with crisp and clean colour performance. The video camera is stunning utilising 1920x1080 HD and boy it shows. As a test I took some footage on my Panasonic SD1 HD video camera and than took the same footage using the iPhone 5 and to be honest the difference between the two devices was minimal, the colour saturation and image clarity was amazing!! The only downside using the iPhone 5 is the audio is only mono verses the Panasonic which is DD5.1
- LCD display: Very nice crisp and what you would expect from Apple, the display is the same width but is longer which gives you true 16:9 aspect ratio.
- Cell phone: works well no issues...
- Cabinet body: Very nice and stylish, some of you have commented on the case showing finger marks etc I don’t seem to be having this problem at the moment.
Downside:- FM radio: One thing I would have thought Apple would have added to the iPhone 5 was a FM radio....
- LCD display not as large as the Samsung S3
Conclusion:A very nice piece of kit with fast possessing power and fantastic camera

Score out of ten 8.5

It seems some people are seeing the iPhone using mobile data even when a WiFi connection is active.

Apparently this is Verizon specific, but some users are reporting this on AT&T as well.

Make sure you check usage periodically to see if no New Zealand operators are being affected.

@freitasm I wonder if that problem is due to the "WiFi Plus Cellular" feature that they had in the Beta. There was a setting which is no longer available on my 4 which allowed you to switch this feature on or off. It was meant to automatically switch the iPhone from WiFi to Cellular if there was a problem with data on the WiFi connection. I suspect that setting is now on as default and you can't turn it off. The AT&T update probably disables it.

Depending on how big your data plan is, tunein radio and songza are good apps to stream radio and music channels with.  Out of interest, what was your previous phone, and have you tried out the maps and turn by turn navigation?
