Posted this in the Sky forum but thought it is relevant here too. Adobe have released Flash for the cloud, Puffin browser are the first to use it. Just bought Puffin Browser for my iPad Air for $4.19 and iSky works :) Finally iSky on iPad :) whoop!

Good to hear you've had good results. There is also Skyfire and Photon browsers which are meant to play flash video. Hopefully Sky's upcoming official solution is decent. TV3 needs to get with the times also.

I see TV3 have just released "3Now" or something like that which is basically like on-demand. Only on Samsung however. Dragging the chain there a bit. I too also wish Apple would get over itself and allow flash on their devices. It hasn't gone away as a format as fast as many initially thought.

At one stage alot of TV3 stuff was html5 so it would work on the iPad without an app?

Last time I tried to use TV3 On Demand on the iPad I found that content which is otherwise available on the 3News app worked fine, but general entertainment shows displayed an error along the lines of the content not being 'licensed for mobile devices'. I suspect that's code for "we're in receivership and can't afford to provide a proper mobile solution".

Awesome

Trying Puffin free with flash trial and I get the "this content is unavailable" blurb when trying iSky. Any ideas? It works on my PC on the same network.

The puffin network was being blocked by the firewall. However now it appears that it is too slow so it won't even work. I'll try another network at some stage.

Bu66er!

Could it be that iOS sees it as video, and that as its not a Apple supported, it used no hardware acceleration?

I've had Puffin for ages (and Skyfire).

Always found them to be very laggy and a bit hit & miss.

I think it is being geo blocked...iSky won't work outside NZ and the Pffin flash is being served from outside NZ.

Did you have to do anything special leoo787sx to get it working?

Nope but I did download the pay for puffin ($4.19) rather than the free one, it is on iPad Air, not sure if that makes any difference, not tried iPhone yet.

I found general browsing to be slow but once the video was playing it wasn't too bad.
