Depends on what the features are, when they're released, how much they cost, etc. If the rumours are true then I'll be getting the 4.7 because I want a 4G phone ASAP and apparently the 5.5 is further off.

So will the current sized model become the iphone mini? I think the 5.5 ones will be too big for most, and is almost an ipad mini, and I wonder what screen resolution it will run at.

The 4"....oh piss they're being sheep and following everyone else.

I have no need for a bigger phone. That's why I bought an iPad mini.

None, I have a 5S and my old 4S is still working fine for my partner. Heck even my 3GS is still working.

What a weird comment. Apple are just responding to demand for phones with larger screens.

I'll get the 4.7 most likely... 5.5 seems to be pushing it.

They should put a phone in the ipad mini, at least it would then receive txts. I think 4.7-5 inches is the sweet spot for phones. I don't think the 5.5 version is going to be a big seller unless it's screen resolution is a lot better the the 4.7 version. Many people just don't want a phone that big. The iphone 5s though does still fit nicely in the pocket without feeling too big. I find larger samsung galaxies feels a little too big and bulky in the pocket.

In responding to the demands, they're also removing a point of differentiation. There are those that want smaller phones. The options of which are getting less and less. I'd probably go for the 4.7, as I'm hoping it won't physically get much bigger.

5.5 is the minimum screen size I will contemplate regardless of ecosystem, so that makes the decision easy.

Up until a month ago, I had a work issued Blackberry. Now they've rolled out the iPhone 5S. Before I got my phone, I always wanted a large screen phone. Now I've got the iPhone, I'm really happy with its size. It small enough to work ok one handed when needed but also big enough to watch things and type two handed.

Maybe I just need to spend some time with a bigger phone to get into the big phone craze???

Do you not think they will keep the 5c or is that still too big in your opinion? That was my expectation plus I'm sure they have plenty left to sell! Seriously, I have not seen one in the wild yet!

I do like the thought of the huge one. I've been wanting an iPad mini next, perhaps 5.5inch iphone would replace that!

Probably would. Spoken to a lot of people who got a Note 3 and have an iPad largely gathering dust as a result.
