I'm in Sydney, watch has been delivered. Picking up late this afternoon from step daughters place.

Looking at the damage around here it looks like there was some quite bad weather but it's quite good at the moment.

Envious! I have admitted defeat and will be waiting for launch in New Zealand. :/

Hope everyone are ok, not envious of the weather that Sydney has been having.

Have my Apple watch now and used it quite a bit yesterday afternoon/night.

Only a couple of issues found. So far

You have to choose Siri language to be English Australia as that functionality doesn't work for the New Zealand English language yet.
Calling via the Apple Watch quality is a little iffy but that might be as I am running 8.4 beta.
The lock code stuffed up once that I could not type it in so I had to restart watch

Finally got the Apple Watch I ordered back on the 10th of April. I ordered the space grey 42 mm sport version (Mr conservative) and had it sent to work in AU which then forwarded onto me here in NZ. So far am really liking the following:

1. Quality feels right, what you expect form an Apple product. Though the space grey sport does look a little toy like, before you get to touch it. The box it came in was very heavy which was not what I was expecting. Some money has been spent here to deliver a beautiful boxed product.
2. Making and receiving phone calls is better than expected. I can keep typing/working on my computer whilst on the call. The other caller reckons it sounds as good as a normal cellphone call.
3. Making and receiving texts
4. Using it to track my rowing workouts
5. Controlling my Apple TV as a remote. Works just like your iPhone would doing this. Great for controlling Netflix.
6. Controlling music being AirPlayed via the iPhone to the stereo (including volume). This is very cool and works perfectly so far. I can control my entire music collection from my wrist now.
7. Actually having a watch again, to tell the time!

So far the only thing to irk is that notifications are a little bit hit and miss now. I always get the notification on my Watch but now occasionally when a text comes in, the iPhone does not notify but the watch does. However I am on a iOS 8.4 beta on the phone so that could be the cause.

Anyone else got one?

Got mine just yesterday.  Initially the order stated delivers 29 June, so happy with that.
Been great so far, receiving notifications on wrist is great, I prefer the clear bright colour screen to my Pebble.
Looking forward to using it for health tracking.

The health / workout tracking part of the watch has surprised me. I use it to track my workouts (rowing) and the progress indicators (3 rings) are actually really good at motivating me. After a week the watch even recommended I upped one of my goal metrics so in essence it is helping/pushing me to become fitter.

So disappointed that NZ is not in the second tier of countries to get the watch. Very frustrating. Also assume we won't get any new music service that may be announced next week. Boo.

Cheers,
Joseph

I'm fairly sure Apple Music will be launching here on the 30th (July 1st our time, I assume). I'm running the iOS 9 Beta and the Radio tab (including Beats 1) just showed up a couple of days ago. You can search for music but it doesn't play yet ("This content requires a subscription").

Week ?2? for me (got it when it was available for pickup) and if you still don't have it by now, then you aren't missing much. This is definitely a pre-release test-the-market-first device.

That is not to discourage buying it. If you are mad enough for example, to secure the first iPhone then this is a non decision. For others however, if you survived thus far from the hype and opportunity to get it it feels very 'is that all' couple with an absence of useful watch apps?

Apple Watch is selling in the online Apple Store in NZ on the 31st of July, after 7:01 am ( They really should have made it 7:01:01.) , according to this post: http://9to5mac.com/2015/07/15/apple-watch-new-zealand/

This is on the iOS app only. The web site hasn't been updated yet. I just downloaded the iOS Apple store app and its there. I'm sure that NZ couldn't download that app before is it new for us as well?

Pretty sure it wasn't available to us before. Makes me wonder if Apple are going to have some sort of pop up store and have customers use the app to make reservations.
