jarledb: So... Second wave opened today. If I ordered in Norway now I would have gotten the iPhone 6S within 1-3 days. I was late to order here in NZ (ordered a couple of weeks ago), and its still shipping in a couple of weeks).

Thats not nice, Apple. :/

Edit: I wrote "third wave", its the second wave that was opened today.

How would you feel if you were in one of the second wave countries waiting for the release only to find out that delivery times were weeks away due to people in first wave countries getting priority because they ordered their phones a while after launch?

That would suck too. It seemed like Apple hadn't figured out their distribution and available phones this time around. But at the moment their guesstimates of delivery isn't as bad as it was. So I am not as miffed as I was earlier..

My phone arrived today, estimate was 12 - 19th Oct so pretty happy.

The newer estimates were 2 - 3 weeks so likely 2 weeks.

I know a little more than nothing but not much...

But this happens every single Apple iPhone launch.  Supply mostly outstrips demand in the first few weeks of launch.

Have usually ordered as soon as pre-orders are available on Apple Store, so might be why this years experience was new to me, having ordered a fair while after the pre-orders opened.

Got my phone today, so delivery time was actually a couple of weeks, but Apple was predicting delivery in late october up until the phone was shipped last friday.

Just got one of the 6s' for a friend of mine. Recommend any decent cases that I can pick up on the way home today?

I got a call from a helpful 2degrees rep on Friday afternoon who told me that they would get a 6S+ to me in 2 - 3 weeks. So, it was a pleasant surprise this morning when I received a dispatch notice with a track & trace number that indicates that it's been picked up in Auckland and it's on the go. Hopefully it will come down to Wellington overnight and be delivered tomorrow.

I also ordered an ultra slim leather case from Sena in California on Wednesday night last week, and it arrived yesterday. I've been using this particular type of case since ordering my first iPhone 3GS five years ago and I highly recommend them.

You've probably already dropped it off now, but I have mine in a 3Sixt Pure Flex case - clear hard shell back with white TPU bumper. I wanted something I could see the rose gold through, but it covers up the lovely colour of the sides of the phone. It's an interim solution, though, just something I picked up cheap until better cases came on the market. I've pre-ordered the Verus Crystal Bumper in rose gold from Amazon (via YouShop) so that should arrive next month.

A bit OT.  Anyone else noticed iCloud no longer backing up their new phone?   Failure message is only 'Backup could not be completed'.  Space on iCloud isn't the issue (upgraded to 200gb as per Apple Support suggestion) but error still occurs.   I have a call back tonight but was curious if anyone else has seen this?

Ya i was looking at something like that case actually. asked my friend to go down to PB tech today and check out some cases there - you never know with cases until you actually see them being used on the phone. Hopefully she hasnt dropped it yet. She got the rose gold as well so of course wants to show off the colours.

It's a stunning phone alright :o) JB Hi Fi also have a really good range if PB doesn't have anything suitable.

My silver 6S+ 64Gb arrived this morning - that's only three business days after I confirmed the order with 2degrees! I've updated to 9.0.2, restored my backup from the old 5S, and all seems to be going well.

I'm glad I went with the plus as the display feels huge compared with the 5S, yet it still fits quite comfortably in all of my pockets.

Finally got the track n trace for a 6s+ 128gb tomorrow. Pre ordered with vodafone on the 12th last month. All is forgiven since iOS 9 jailbreak is also out so perfect timing.
