Paul1977: So when I left home this morning my iPhone popped up a message that said "16 minutes to work in normal traffic", but I'm pretty sure there is nothing on my phone that indicates where I work... what sorcery is this?

It has done that for a while (since they put in that pull down notifications screen).
I think it works out where you work from where you spend most of your time between say 9 and 5 on weekdays. It does the same for me, and is pretty accurate (It even knows that I can't drive directly to work - have to catch a ferry).

Weird, mine told be that I was just 6 minutes from the pub down the road...

I don't mind the new font on the so and apple apps, but on some apps it looks terrible. I have noticed a few bugs , one being that on an iPad, you can drag an icon onto the new left search screen, and then you get trapped on that screen.
Also they way they have done the split screen thing is very similar to how itis done on my samsung galaxy, and you can only drag in apple apps, which is like the samsung too.
I would have prefered they did it more like windows 8.1 with the split screen.

Hi Sir1963.   My good old 4s I think behaves slightly faster than when iOS8 slowed it, and the update was smaller in size, so if you have a 16Gb 4s it makes the update easier.   No hassles yet.

No issues here when I updated!

I just clicked update and it installed and then the beaver icon popped up and I rebooted it into safe mode and turned over the engine until it fired and what am I talking about I don't even have an iOS device but far out this thread is like the most boring thing I've ever read me too!

I can only assume that posting "I also updated" gives me some sort of special account privileges and/or money.

I await either.

HAHA JOKES.

(I had an issue with a comma,)

Installed ios9 on my iPad 4? (The last one before the air)
It had been getting slower and I was starting to think I need to buy another one. It is my primary device that I use all the time.
What a difference, it feels like it's new again, much smoother and faster.
Browsing feels better, then I installed the Peace add blocker, holy sh$t, astoundingly good. Best browsing experience yet.

Only dislike is the new view of all the running apps.

I've got it on my 6 Plus and am having keyboard issues.

For example, I am presently in an hotel in Bangkok and the hotel wifi opens a web page requiring that I input room number and surname.

However the keyboard either fails to appear or, if it does, does nothing when you press the keys.

That and keyboard failing to appear when I want to forward things like web pages - it opens the email with the link, but no keyboard to address the email.

Annoying.

Did you do anything else like like a factory reset? Mine seems tobe going marginally better but still a little laggy with keyboard etc

To add more..there are two boxes on the log in screen.

The cursor appears in both but it is only possible to type in one...! Wife running iOS 8 and it works fine.

I experienced the same issue on my 5s when I was on iOS 9. I am now running the 9.1 beta and it appears to be fixed, so at least the fix isn't too far away.

Bleh. I might have to scrap my current iPhone by wiping it and starting again.

Since installing iOS 9, the app switcher is incredibly laggy and games freeze for a few seconds just before it shows the "Welcome back, <username>" banner. I've tried backing up and restoring, and even wiping the phone and setting it up as a new iPhone (this then solved everything) - but every single time when I apply the backup of my iPhone, my two issues reappear. :(

Would be annoying to have to reset everything and start again, since this iPhone has been with me since 2010 and has been carried across four different iPhones... :(
