Using an iPhone 5S. Haven't updated since a couple of months ago. Just realised today that Siri has disappeared. Anyone had this happen before?

Nope, my 5S worked flawlessly (I have now updated to the SE and my parents has the 5S now).

Tried powering off (normal way), if that does not fix it do a forced reset

  1. hold the Home button (big circle below the screen) and the Sleep/Wake button (on top of the iPhone) simultaneously.
  2. Hold both buttons until the iPhone shuts off and begins to restart.

It seems with my 6S plus that it was turned off somehow with the last update.
