PoHq: Ordered 22 Sept. Got a delivery date of 5th Nov. Delivered 3rd October.

Model was Series 2 Space Grey Sport 42mm.

You can cancel anytime with Apple until it reaches the preparing for shipment stage. It came straight from production line in Asia via TNT as oppose in stock items which come from Sydney via DHL / Courier post.

Hope that helps. I'd certainly be doing this over any 3rd party NZ retailer.

LOL I am placing the order as you were typing surprisingly for a space grey. Not that it really matters as I have one of these "protector case " thingys on my series 1. Thanks for the pointer!

clinty: Has anyone ordered a series 2 from apple in the last week or so? If so what date have they given? One on order with Noels, but no info on delivery, so may change to apple.co.nz

Clint

so my friend who had one on order decide to cancel Noels and go with Apple and this is what she said:

"Oh wow! Super nice and friendly I get email and texts on the shipping etc... and they won't charge me until it ships and then two weeks after receiving it also. Think I'll buy straight from them from now on oh and I get a 30min free online or call on how to set it up once I receive it :D"

And she gets the same twelve month interest free deal :)

HAHA, why anyone would buy a product from Noel Leeming over the Apple store really is beyond me!

I only ordered my iPhone from Vodafone as it was part of a resign otherwise straight to the Apple store.

when I ordered my iPhone6S+ I needed to finance it so didn't get it sorted for the initial run, I got a phone call from the Apple store and they went through everything I needed to know and made sure I was on the second tier delivery.

Delivery is fast, communication really is second to none and judging from the iPhone 7 release you'll likely see your product first!

I would much rather order direct from Apple but as I said in a previous post I am between jobs and can't judge whether to send it to my old office or new one without knowing the exact delivery date with certainty.

I'm tempted to order one and get it delivered to my home. I won't be there to accept the delivery, but I assume I can go and pick it up from the depot the following Saturday.

Does Apple still use TNT? Do they generally deliver to your door in suburban areas or do they still hand off to CourierPost?

Because some people have never ordered from Apple and have from Noel Leeming :) Also there is the ability to collect and not having to be home for the delivery. And also Noels was saying one week delivery etc, not that ended up being true of course. However people learn quick lol

Im ringing today to cancel my noels order, going to order the steel version instead from apple.
The lack of communication from noels has forced my hand, really quite peeved with them to be fair.
At least I will get a delivery date from apple that will be accurate.

When did your friend order?
A phone call to apple and the sales staff still requesting a 3-4 week delivery timeframe

Like I said before there is a very high chance you'll get it a lot sooner than Apples delivery date. That is a worst case latest date. Mine was 5 weeks and delivered in about 10 days, and that was just after release when demand was probably higher than it is now.

She ordered on Monday from Apple. Sales person quoted 3-4 weeks but confirmation email later in the day quoted the dates above.
She ordered the 42mm Rose Gold with Midnight blue strap

Ordered from apple this morning and canceled the Noel order.
Salespeople on the phone said 15-18 November, email to confirm the order moved the date forward to October 28th - early November.
Far more impressed with Apple's process than Noel Leeming.

My dock arrived yesterday. Space Grey to match watch. As I said before not cheap but it's superb. Very happy with it.

Not entirely sure of your point but if you read the thread you will have seen myself and a couple others placed orders with Noel Leeming in launch day more than a month ago and received zero updates or approximate delivery dates

Hence after ordering a month ago and getting no updates or communication whatsoever I cancelled the order and paved it from a company that actually placed importance on customer feedback/communication, and gave me a delivery timeframe and dates rather than a "oh you placed an order a month ago and we have nothing for you whatsoever regarding any item".
I will happily take a delivery time frame of next week over no indignation at all any day of the week.
So, yeah WTF indeed Noel Leeming
