IF THIS IS THE WRONG FORUM I APOLIGIZE I WASNT SURE WHERE TO PUT IT.

I was just browsing Trade Me and found someone selling iphone on it. Would it be legit? Would it work in nz? All info is helpful :)

Trademe have banned iPhone auctions until the device is officially released in NZ.

Expect the auction to be pulled pretty quickly.

That's not to say you can't use one in NZ though :)

There are plenty of places selling them and they work perfectly on the VFNZ network.

Parallel Imported, eTown or virtually any of the import mobile phone/electronics stores in Auckland. They all typically have them in stock and have done for months now.

iPhones are a dime a dozen now - nobody even seems to look twice now if you pull one out! :-)

If you are thinking of getting one, I would recommend you buy it sealed and unlock it yourself. I say this because a number of retailers are using Ziphone to unlock which, irreversibly, downgrades the bootloader. Alternatively you should be able to ask them to unlock it with iPlus (or the soon to be released iLiberty+).
