I installed it this morning after seeing a few people online saying they noticed some performance improvements on the X.

I have an iPhone 7 and thought "why not," give it a try.

Maybe it's the placebo effect, but honestly, it does feel considerably faster when performing even the most mundane tasks (opening settings, messages, etc.)

Anyone else had the same experience so far?

nah, apparently that is coming in a later software update (no joke)

It will be  configurable option when it does, from what they've announced.

They have disabled the throttling in the current 11.3 beta, the option to enable/disable is not present yet

Thats good to know... I can't get over just how much faster it feels.

Haven't had a single case of an app freezing just yet - normally by now I'd have had at least 2 or 3.

Yeah, I'm tempted but I'm waiting for beta 2

They've bought back the notifications from app store that lets you know which apps have automatically updated, it broke in 10.2 and they never fixed it.. always annoyed me
