So, who’s looking to upgrade this cycle?

I’m currently running my trusty 6S plus but the battery is munted and not eligible for replacement on the program due to some minor screen damage. As such, I’m looking to make the move to a new gen offering this year.

I’m also thinking about jumping on the Apple wearables bandwagon, having sported a Fitbit for a couple years and enjoying its limited functionality. My wife, brother, sister in law and father in law all have Apple Watches and passionately love them with the heat of ten burning suns.

I imagine that many (read “all”) of you on here are smarter, better informed and better equipped than I, to speculate on what pricing we might expect to see for the various releases. I’d be interested to hear what your estimates are and which models you’re eyeing up.

I have already sold my series 3 watch and are waiting for the 4 to arrive. In the meantime I am using a Ticwatch which is okkkk... but its not an apple watch!

Iphone 6 is my IOS trusty stead and being pretty much retired the avalanche of calls is long gone. I mainly use it for Audible now so it will do.

I only recently bought a pair of airpods which are the best wireless earphones on the market I reckon but they fall out of my ears unless I use gaffa tape! So they will stay until I find something better.

my other apple gear is in various stages of replacement Imac, Mini, but not in a rush until i sell what I have other wise it just gets silly.

Thats me

I bought an iPhone 8 Plus last year so won't be replacing that this year, although I'm still quite excited about the idea of a plus sized iPhone X style design.

I have a series 2 Apple Watch which I have mixed feelings about. On the whole it's really useful but I find that having a touch screen on a watch is fiddly and accident prone. If I could get a new generation model in stainless steel with 4G support then I'd be tempted to upgrade, but I think I will leave it for another year.

My MacBook Pro is probably the only thing that I really need to replace this year. I see the higher end 13" MacBook Pro has just had a product refresh but it might be a bit more than I need to I'm keen to see if there is an upcoming refresh of the lower end 13" MacBook Pro, or the MacBook Air.

I love the look of the S4 watch... drool, but I have an S3 so can’t justify the upgrade.
I love my iPhone X and with unlimited $ I would definitely go to a plus size phone again but I hate to think how much they will cost!

I will upgrade to the newest Ipad pro, provided that the god-awful home button and bezels are truly gone. Otherwise not at all interested in this generation's iOS devices. My Iphone X does everything that I need it to. The Watch is to me just mostly a relatively discrete way to know of/react to texts and e-mails etc.

I have recently bought the S3 Apple Watch (didn't give it much thought that a new one was just around the corner). Likely won't upgrade.

But new iPhones? I've had my one for a year now. I think I can justify an upgrade!

I'll get whatever the large screen X is, got a Watch last Christmas and have no interest in updating. Phone is the priority while my original X still has decent resale value :)

Really? theres another new Ipad. It seems like yesterday I went from the, what was it 9" ipad pro to the 10" Well I wont be changing that its the best tablet i have owned. I had reason to get a lenovo tab4 10" for a project the other day. I did a side by side of screens talk about chalk and cheese ! Still the ipad pro is what 3 times the price of the lenovo.

Will be getting the plus size model iPhone definitely. Never been a watch person but I’m tempted to try one.

Definitely up for a new 10.5” iPad Pro. My Air 2 has been really great but it’s coming up four years old and I’m a bit excited about getting a new iPad because I totally live on the thing - all day every day.

The rumour-mill says the new Pro will have narrow bezels, face recognition and no home button - like a large iPhone X - i.e. a slightly larger screen inside overall dimensions that are similar to current models.

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Definitely in for the iPhone XS, it's been a year so time to upgrade.

Will be interesting to see whether they announce/refresh the iPad Pro at the same event.

I'm definitely looking forward to a watch upgrade (although disappointed that we don't yet have LTE models available here, come on Spark/Voda/2degrees!). I use my watch for notifications and I do a lot of fitness related stuff. I have owned every series and the increase is in speed and general usability with each iteration has made the upgrades well worthwhile.

I currently use an iPhone X and may not upgrade. I'm used to the form factor now and don't think I want a larger device anymore (had the 6 plus, 6S plus and 7 Plus in the past) so the new XS would need to have some compelling feature that makes it a must-have to justify the upgrade.

May look at the new 12" iPad pro if they can make it a bit smaller with the loss of bezels and home button.

Anyone considering the reported “budget” 6.1in LCD model, currently being dubbed “iPhone 9”? It seems that this one might come in around the NZD$1200 mark, if some of the persistent leaks prove to be accurate...

As an Apple Fanboy (2018 MacBook Pro 15", 2x Apple TV 4K, iPhone X, iPad Pro 12.9 and Apple Watch series 3), I think it's obvious that I don't do budget :-)

My trusty iPhone 7 has reached the two year mark so I'll be looking at the XS as an upgrade. May look at a S4 watch, currently have a fitbit charge 2 but the inaccurate HR and general fitbit quality ruin it for me. I need more battery life in a apple watch..
