I'd ugrade my series 2 watch to a series 4 if LTE is announced here at the same time, if not I won't

Will probably upgrade my X to the large screen X or whatever it'll be called.

I'm rapidly concluding that we are reaching "peak" phone,(last year's faceID is probably the last major jump in a while)

There appears to be no major new features promised, and other than bigger screens and batteries its very much a case of "rinse and repeat".....

That's always been the case, it's mostly the internals that get better.

E.g. iPhone 6, 6S, 7 and 8 are all pretty similar just better touch ID starting with the 6S and just better internals for the rest.. and that force touch gimmick that crept in at some point

Dingbatt: In looking forward to the zero cost update to tvOS12 so I can get Dolby Atmos on my AppleTVs.

Yes, that will be great. Looking forward to this as well.

JEDENZED: Anyone considering the reported “budget” 6.1in LCD model, currently being dubbed “iPhone 9”?.

No. Although I definitely see a market for such a “thing”. Can see why the 2017 iPhone X is being discontinued.

I’ve got the 6 Plus which I think is coming up on 4 years old so it certainly could do with an update. Personally I’m hoping to stretch it out for another year before upgrading. It’s very slow though.

eracode: Definitely up for a new 10.5” iPad Pro. My Air 2 has been really great but it’s coming up four years old and I’m a bit excited about getting a new iPad because I totally live on the thing - all day every day.

The rumour-mill says the new Pro will have narrow bezels, face recognition and no home button - like a large iPhone X - i.e. a slightly larger screen inside overall dimensions that are similar to current models.

Summary of rumours to date:

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.

Are you running iOS 11 still? I’ve been on the iOS 12 beta for a couple of months and have found significant improvements in performance speeds. My battery is pretty poked though - I have to charge it twice a day now - so any hopeI might have of stretching it’s life any further is pretty thin...

I'm definitely upgrading to the plus sized X purely for the size gains. Nothing wrong with my X, but would love a bigger phone again.

I'm still using a Series 2 watch. If the LTE model is unveiled here then I'm in, otherwise, not too sure.

Same here no series 4 watch and LTE supported in New Zealand, then no sale!

Those of you upgrading from a 2017 X to a new 2018 model, what do you hope/expect to get for your old one when you sell it?

It will be a pretty hard sell for any series 2 watch owner to upgrade to a series 4 without 4G. Okay, it's rumoured to have a bigger display and more grunt, but I don't think that justifies the cost of an upgrade from a series 2 that's working perfectly fine.
