Tell you one thing, if the new watch worked with Android I'd happily pay the price for it.

Did/Will they drop the price of the 8/8 plus?

Involuntary autocorrect in operation on mobile device. Apologies in advance.

Batman:

Yes, but it looks like it's only dropped by $100.

This is disappointing, because I was thinking that buying last year's model might be much better value for money than paying those over the top prices for the latest release.

Dial111:

$2599 for the XS Max 512gb...

Priced on Apple NZ is NZD2799 for 512GB iPhone XS Max. (NZD2399 for 256GB, NZD2099 for 64GB)

iPhone XS: 64GB NZD1899, 256GB NZD2199, 512GB, NZD2599.

Kopkiwi: Sorry but those prices are absolutely disgusting.

Absolutely agree. You can nearly buy a base model 12-inch MacBook (NZ$2,199.00) for that price.

Now I am a total Apple household, 2 x iPhone 7 (purchased in Sydney), iMac, iPads, airport express, Time Machine and awaiting on the next gen ATV. But even I baulk at these prices.

But as the mantra goes: Premium Products at Premium Prices for Premium People = Premium Profits

Edit: typographical corrections

iMac 27" (late 2013), Airport Time Capsule + Airport Express, iPhone7, iPad6, iPad Mini2

Panasonic Blu-ray PVR DMR-BWT835 + Panasonic Viera TH-L50E6Z, Chromecast Ultra, Yamaha AVR RX-V1085

I wish that Apple had sold the Chinese Dual SIM model more widely. Even if they just gave the option between the dual sim slot model and the eSIM model it'd be great. I don't think we're gonna see support for it in NZ for a while.

Talking to somebody at a 2degrees store they said it won't be ready quite at launch, but will be ready not long after with them.

I'm going to order the celluar version from the AU store and have it deliverd to my parents on the Gold Coast. My mum is coming to NZ on the 23rd so that works out quite well.

Even if it's not available here I prefer the stainless steel case over the aluminium

Just since there is already a pre-existing thread discussing these I am locking this one and have renamed the other thread to keep things tidy: https://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=76&topicid=240327
