I'm interested in Siri short cuts. Look for short cuts in applic store and can create own Siri commands, including what to say to invoke.

I haven't saussed it yet but will keep trying as it looks like it has protental.

I am still finding the 6s quite laggy on some thing, especially when going into the settings, it just freezes sometimes. I hope it is just a bug.

Prudle: I'm using 12.1 beta - doesn't seem any better than 12 was, and feels like my battery is draining really quickly now - maybe that was always the case.... Probably should've kept it at 12...

The battery always drains fast after installing a big update, as I have heard the device has to index itself for the new software. So it is always a very common complaint. I am avoiding the beta updates now we have a new version, as 12.1 is quite a big jump. I expect we will get smaller bug updates to 12.0.x before 12.1 is released.

Indexing should have finished - overnight while it's doing nothing it's only using 3% or so as you'd expect.

I'm talking about safari, twitter etc burning the battery like there's no tomorrow - 40% drain in an hour. I used to never use more than 40% in a day and that would include 60 mins of streaming radio.

The drain seems related to network usage apps since things like messages, general usage etc is normal.

3puttssuck:

As of this morning, all the mail app is showing my mail account and subfolders twice. The complete list then a duplication below it. Can't seem to find how to fix this.

delete the affected mail account from the app and re-configure the app?

Or simply turn off the email function on the account in settings, give it a moment, ensure all is normal then turn it back on again.

Downloading now.

$20 says it will kill my battery, make my phone dead slow and the apps will crash even more frequent. They keyboard will bug out even worse and stop displaying properly or make you force close apps before the keyboard would start working again. Randomly decide that you need to open your touch to pay then give errors, touch ID bugs out and wont recognize fingers until manual unlock then perfectly fine again... Steaming POS as far as I was concerned driving a 8+ on 11.

Yeah, Go Apple. Release broke junk and patch it with broken junk!

more to follow.

Edit: My update has been stuck on about 11 minutes to go since the original post on this reply.

Edit: installed... Now we are being tracked and our data farmed even more intensively by Apple for our phone usage. GREAT!

Tried this several times over the weekend but it didn't fix it.

You prompted me to try again just now and hey presto, it fixed it.

Just noticed the podcasts app also just freezes after opening and trying to use it, and have to wait a while for it to work.

It is installed. The deed has been done.

Everything seems way more fluid to be honest. The keyboard is still a weirdo when it comes to switching between open tasks which both have the keyboard open at once. Say you switch between messenger to whats app keeping the keyboard on up it will bug out on change and not allow input or you cannot move around the text fields.

Cheers
