I recall I posted in a thread about how my iPhone was starting to do weird things. I'll outline the bugs I see DAY TO DAY below and see if others have the same issue.

1: For the last 4 months. Remove phone from pocket and device is stuck in portrait mode. Until the app it default opens instead of home screen is force closed or phone locked and unlocked again it won't change. Responds to touch. (Atleast 10 times a day)

2: For the last 1 months. Remove phone from pocket and only the keyboard is stuck in portrait mode. Until the app it default opens instead of home screen is force closed or phone locked and unlocked again it won't change. Responds to touch. (Atleast 2 times a day)

3: Last 2 weeks, after typing here or on reddit or anywhere for a prolonged period of time where the phone locks and unlocks in the process you may lose the cursor indicator on screen where you are typing. Cannot see the blinking | (Atleast 2 times a day)

4: Random app crashes after unlock or when in use. Not CPU intensive at all, just seems to like to close Chrome, Reddit, facebook, messenger. Re open and it is fine. (Atleast 2 times a day)

5: When wanting to type a message after scrolling through Messenger chat history, sometimes the keyboard fails to open completely, requires force close and re open. (atleast 5 times a day)

6: Calls randomly just fault.

7: Limited to my phone only, calls to AU mobiles are impossible, I get better quality voice and latency with messenger or snapchat.... They can't hear me well at all. I can hear them OK but sounds like we are back in 2000...

This is all on the latest update. Unsure why these issues are present through multiple updates.

iPhone 7+, 12.1.2, VFNZ, 128GB.
So much for the old stigma that iPhone just work.. My Samsung had less issues than this on Android 6/7

What device?  How old?  Have you done a clean install of iOS?

I've got no such issues as this on my XS Max on latest iOS.  Wife has an XR and also no issues.  Never had these issues on my iPhone 7+ or her 8 either.

I have had all a 7+ in the past and never had these problems. Now running a XS Max and no issues with that either.

When you live your life on Twitter and Facebook, and are only friends with like minded people on Twitter and Facebook, you are not living in the real world. You are living in a narcissistic echo chamber.

I've had the stuck in portrait mode maybe twice in the last 6 months. I had a 7+ and now using an XS Max.  Haven't encountered any of the other issues.

Are you running a custom/third party keyboard by chance?

I am annoyed and disappointed at the quality of the software on my iPhone, but I haven't experienced anything as serious as what you're describing. My problems are mainly isolated to the podcasts and activity apps.

I've had every single thing you've described - though the can't hear other mobile could well be a connection related issue. IPhone SE (same hardware as 6S). I don't use many apps but I do have a third party keyboard called swype. Maybe that's the culprit.

Swype on iOS is detrimental to accurate typing. Apologies in advance.

The wife’s iPhone 7 hasn’t skipped a heart beat. Have you looked at doing a backup and factory reset

TwoSeven: For the original post, Is there any reason you haven’t called apple support?

Because this place is 10X more reliable, I won't lose 45 minutes of my life to someone talking to me like a 5 year old over basic troubleshooting.

I have done a fresh install (similar to jailbreak process). Where you put the phone into that recovery mode, download the latest APK from the website, install it manually through iTunes? Yes when I had the below iMessage issue.

Apple/VF support still owe me around $50 for my iMessage activation texts that would not stop sending for a few weeks, back and fourth to get iMessage activated, without joy, was told I was not to touch the settings, they will do all these specific things in the mean time. Nothing happened, got charged for texts to the UK, a few hundred of them. Vodafone refused to credit even though they asked me to keep trying against my advice it was at my own cost for their troubleshooting I had already done which wouldn't have worked anyway.

I Message now works properly for me after 4 calls to Apple Support and the final time them making me log into a webpage of theirs which disassociates all devices from my account so I can start again... It worked..

Sounds like you've got a faulty device.  If it's under warranty take it back.
