Ok so I put 2.0 on my 1st Gen iPhone using the winpwn tool. Ok so it works great but my battery drains SOO fast. So I turned off Location Services in Settings > General and I turned off Push under Settings > Fetch New Data. But the battery still drains quick. And also my email account on Gmail won't work. It carried across my Gmail settings from 1.1.4, however it won't allow me to delete the Gmail account - and when I click on Mail in the dock it looks like its downloading messages but then crashed to the springboard.

I've tried adding another Gmail account but it just overwrites the existing one and continues to NOT work.

Any help? I'm barely getting 8 hours of playtime with low to average use.

EDIT: OK THIS IS A JOKE MY IPHONE JUST SHUT DOWN DUE TO LOW BATTERY WHILE BEING USED PLUGGED IN VIA USB.

Found a fix for the email bug in this forum - hopefully that will improve my battery life!

Morning Buddy

Never bring you settings over when you do an update, this can do all kinds of "stuff" to your phone like the mail problem etc, when you do an update to a new firmware I always setup my phone after the flash as a new Iphone and set everything back up again, its a pain and takes about an hour but saves alot of problems in the long run.

I learn this after i did a setting transfer after an update and safari would not remember any settings, i.e. username and passwords, and found out it was something to do with the "backup" i did before i updated.

Yeah I second that, best to setup as a new phone rather than backup from iTunes.  My battery tends to drain quicker on firmware 2.0, make sure you turn off SSH in Boss Prefs as cydia had it installed and turned on as a default.

Lookin forward to updating to 2.0.1 to increase speed and reduce hang times, but happy to wait for pwnage tool chaps to release the correct version of their too to make this upgrade a complete success.
