tardtasticx: Tried to get one added to my iPhone to see if coverage was any good at home with Spark. It’s only available on PostPay plans (couldn’t find this mentioned anywhere?). Not worth getting a new sim and breaking iMessage etc. will wait until 2d launches it at some stage.

The cheapest paid plan is $39.00 as well, I ended up following through with it just so I can break my work and private life - took the store around an hour or so to setup and had to put a "dummy sim" in the tray for them to do it without getting approval from my work to do an Esim.

iOS 13 has dual sim support for iMessage will be great.

I read on a blog that iPhone X can support multiple esims, and you just select the one you want to use, plus the one physical sim. Can anyone confirm this?

I did, but it wasn't addressed. Not a great page. For example, you have to take a guess as to whether you can disable one or the other 'sims'

But thanks for the feedback

Yes. I can confirm that a blog would state what you say was stated. :)

I can also confirm that you can have multiple esims configured at the same time, but no more than one can be enabled at any time. See https://support.apple.com/en-il/HT209044 where it states the following:

You can store more than one eSIM in your iPhone, but you can use only one at a time. To switch eSIMs, tap Settings, tap either Cellular or Mobile Data, and then tap the plan you want to use. Then tap Turn On This Line.

and just being pedantic... it's the 2018 models (XS/XR) not the original X...

Ok, thanks very much. I confess I skimmed tight over that section. If in doubt read the manual?
Much obliged
