Have got a new iPhone 11 pro max and just wondering if it is worth upgrading the sim to eSim. I am with spark and there will be no change in providers for the year to come.

I do tend to upgrade most years so just wanted to know if this is something worth doing.

If you only have 1 number active it would be zero advantage! Are you aware what E-SIM is for the main reason?

I am with Spark and changed to the eSIM and find it worthwhile as means I can get a PAYG Sim when I go abroad to get better data rates and I am still contactable on my Spark number. I also have a second SIM in NZ with PAYG data for use in an area where Spark has patchy service.

If you travel overseas often then it's definitely worth it – you can keep your Spark number active (on the eSIM) and get a local physical SIM for cheap data.
