could be the custom firmware she made was bung. has she tried re-creating the firmware? or just restoring the phone using it several times? i'd delete the custom firmware and create a new one from scratch using pwnagetool.
Thanks she said she only used quickpwn all 5 times
she has sent it back to the shop and they are going to take it back to 1.1.4 i think
She sent it back to the shop because the hacked firmware she put on it does not work? I cant see that going well....
shaneblyth: it was the shop she bought it from in Auckland that imported and sold 1st gen iphones when they came out
So if she uses pqnage what she she change in the settings? I have only used pwnage and dont eh qucik or simple setup
wont that do her ?
djpaubes: tell me about it.
I'd wait for the new version on winpwn to come out that will do a nice upgrade to 2.1
There are ways to do it currently but they are very much beta.
maccrazy: Since updating to 2.1 I've noticed two problems:
1) My email is supposed to check every 15 minutes, but I often check when it was last checked and find it was several hours ago.
2) It often gets stuck on "No Service" even when there is coverage and doesn't change between 2G and 3G automatically when it should (manually turning 3G on and off corrects it). It would shock me if there really was no service in Shortland Street.
Has anyone else experienced these issues?
