Is anyone else finding upload speeds really really slow? Even on my wifi connection at home its barely going over 100kbps (while my laptop easily does 450kbps).

I thought this was a thread on the 3GS not novatel modems ;-) Sorry just taking my grain of salt back!!

More seriously I'm in a very patchy area for 2100 coverage (According to the coverage map) - Should I be expecting more?

The iphone seems to think I have full strength but the older model would continually drop back.

Yeah seriously Johnr how about comparing Apples with apples ( no pun intended)

When are you guys going to sort out your speed issues? or even acknowledge them?

There are too many VF users with issues on your network, so front up man and stop blowing smoke screens.

Yes, don't talk about Novatel modems. Let's talk about Sierra Wireless USB modem on XT:

Ooops. Sorry, wrong thread...

Seriously though. Every device has a limit. I have two Windows Mobile devices on XT here. One tops at 3.2 Mbps, the other goes up to 6.2 Mbps. Looking at the radio specs, they are different.

The same applies to any other devices - they all have different specs. Although the new iPhone 3GS specs says it is 7.2 Mbps, it could be that the device is not in a coverage area where it can get HSDPA and it's working on WCDMA only...

Indeed and so it seems networks have their limits, Vodafone apparently hit its limit on GPRS.
