Right very farked off now. What you need to sign is a thing saying you know about the contracts but don't want to go on one. I really hate it when people make up stuff and don't check the facts out. In the meantime all iphones have been and gone from the store.

Right... quick update. DSE were warned by Voda that any sold without proof of contract may end in Dick Smith losing the right to sell Iphones hence me being sent away. Still gutted, but at least I got the full story

What a pitty that we are one of the few countries without a Apple Store. Had there been one in Auckland, everyone would have been able to pickup their unlocked new 3GS on day of release without contract.

Someone should start a online petition to Apple to open a Apple company store in NZ.  Its great going into their stores in the US and trying all the latest gadgets before purchase.

I see Apple have opened a store in Perth, making it the most remote apple store in the world?

Just my two cents worth!

Would suggest Queen Street downtown Auckland as best first location, Central for those from north, and south Auckland.

I am honestly surprised that there still isnt a single Apple company store in NZ, considering the growing popularity of Apple products, and the recent demand for Iphone's in NZ.

Hope someone from Apple reads this post, but I highly doubt it!

Anyone know the deal with this? In, then out, then back in again. So close, yet so far away.

hayden01, a lot of people have purchased from apple store when iphone launched and most have only just started shipping now. then it should take 2 days to arrive.

so thats 5-7 business days just to ship. but its the only way to get one outright at moment

Right so im guessing about two weeks odd (roughly). Better order mine quick then! Can't believe how hard it is to get one! Went into Magum Mac yesterday in Wellington. They said they are waiting at least a month to source them and can't sell me one unless Im on a vodafone number already.

Guess we will all be in the same boat, and just have to wait it out...

Oh sweet, they have put my payment back on to my credit card too. Ohwell, back to watching the "Not yet shipped" screen.
