Rumours are that it will be called the 'iPhone HD' as the rear camera, and screen, and video capture go HD. So here's a guess:

- 960 x 640 pixel screen, that's 2 x current and means existing apps scale easily
- 8MP rear camera
- front facing camera for 3G video calling and IP video, e.g. iChat, Skype etc.
- Video recording in at least 720p and import into iMovie.

All in all - worth waiting for if it lives up to this.

WRT the 900 3G - I think unlikely, say 75/25 against. However the new Nokia N8 does have 850 and 900 3G support - scroll down to 'Operating Frequency' section. Every other handset is producing 2 x 3G variants.

Judging from iPhone 2g to 3g to 3gs, i would say the next generation iPhone is certainly worth the wait, especially after previewing what iPhone OS4 offers.

I think running a 3GS on OS4 will be the way to go, personally.

The iPhone 5 might be a goer though...

it'll likely be announced officially at the WWDC which is in June.

i'd say worldwide release shortly after that. Maybe Late June?

It has 900 MHz WCDMA now. That should make some Vodafone users happy :)

Vodafone will launch iPhone 4, the thinnest smartphone in the world with the highest resolution display ever built into a phone, in New Zealand in the coming months.

Information on pricing and tariff plans will be made available as soon as possible.

Cheers

Paul

Nothing interesting or worth waiting for unless your an Apple fanatic...

iPhone 4:
5Mp camera with LED flash
Front facing video calling camera (which only works over Wifi and between other Iphone 4s)
1Ghz
640 x 940 pixels resolution
720p @ 30 frames per second video recording

Meh.
Nothing there other mobiles aint got...
And still just an OS that shows just apps on the homescreen....how boring.

But the wife needs a new phone so I have promised her a iPhone 3Gs "just like mine".

Will be interesting to see if you will be able to skype video call using the front camera.

After the announcement from Paul, We just need one from Telecom XT.

Why do you need a announcement from Telecom? It will work on Telecom no problems but will now work better on Vodafone since it supports 3G Extended.
