Thanks System for trying to help. I have now invested $130 at 3 different unlocking sites for none of them to work. I guess I've learnt a lesson here.

You shouldn't need to get an unlocking service, it should be a completely free thing to do, google blackra1n and give that a go, its basically plug your iphone in and click jailbreak.

Erm.

I just used Blackra1n. Im on 3.1.2 atm.  Simplest jailbreak ever, and I have been doing it since the first version of the iPhone OS.

I wouldnt pay anyone to jailbreak my phone.

Noticing bad battery life but can live with it.

Yeah i havn't looked into it much but from what i have heard 3.1.3 is causing some problems at the moment and a full jailbreak has not been released yet. I may be wrong and it is now possible.
