You should really edit out that image- the NDA you agreed to said that even pictures of the UI are confidential information which can get you in a whole lot of trouble.

I finally have fibre!  Had to leave the country to get it though.

I got it off the Backrounds App - downloadable from the App Store. There's quite a few of them.

Going to upgrade shortly. Have any of you been able to downgrade to an official OS yet?

Yeah I have successfully - but then again i'm just using a iPod Touch.
I think the 4.0 Update does the Baseband too, if this is a case you will be able to downgrade but there are some risks involved such as bricking your Baseband.

I have managed to downgrade once from 3.0 to 2.2.3 in the past using Fuzzyband - of which I see it has been upgraded to suit iPhone 3G's running 4.0, you have to first jailbreak 4.0 then install Fuzzyband.

There's a link http://www.geekword.net/downgrade-iphone-4.0-05.13.03-baseband-using-fuzzyband/ but i'm sure you will be able to find better tutorials with a Google Search.

So I can just manually select 3.1.3 OS for iPod and restore that way and it should go through easy? Theres no way in hell mum will let me do this to her 3GS lol

It needs to be able to contact the internet, as the developer builds have activation to ensure they're going on a registered development device.

The iPhone has to have it's UDID Registered on a Dev Account, otherwise you might see either the Purple screen of death or just not able to activate it.

Don't install the iPhone OS on a non dev registered device, as it will not work.

That's correct - if you have a mate or even a fellow Geekzone Member who's willing to register your UDID then you are set for all Beta versions of the software, the only thing is if you go this route you will need to find the firmware images on Torrent Sites.

Devs can register up to 100 devices on their accounts.
