I'm heading into the Queen Street branch now - not to buy, but to see if there is any sign on the window or similar. And then I'm going to try and find somewhere for breakfast.

Anyone know of any good cafe's for breakfast in AK City?

I can't believe that Apple (I do not believe that Vodafone is to blame) has chosen to treat loyal customers this way,

That surprises me. Vodafone can obviously make a statement whenever they like. It seems more to me like they are trying to play hardball with Apple and have lost.

Chances are Apple will still have the product on sale, somewhere. Perhaps only with limited stock or online once the store is updated today.

Vodafone on the other hand, should release a statement to redeem themselves.

Sigh, all this mucking around, apple and its secrecy reminds me of little games a 5 year old would play.  It is all taken a bit too far when even on the launch day they promised still no one has a clue what is going on.

ajobbins: Just to be clear guys, there is NO sign up at the Vodafone flagship store here in Wellington, and no reports of one in Auckland.

I would hazard a guess and say if any Vodafone stores do have it today, it will be the Vodafone owned ones before the Vodafone 'branded' retailers

I totally disagree, Vodafone Chartwell (here in Hamilton) has a sign up and I talked the guy last night (in person) when he has just finished on a phone call. He said - Release had been pulled. Along with the fact that Vodafone have pulled the iPhone 4 off their own website. Surely this is a clear indication its not happening from Vodafone?

If you put hourly then you will receive only one notification per hour, or until your next visit. This should reduce the volume of notifications...
