Nightwyrm: Whomever's at fault, whether it be Apple or Vodafone (or both), you can't deny there's a lot of arrogance gone into this launch and its marketing, and the customers are the ones who lose. If only it wasn't for the screen-emitted subliminal messages keeping us addicted, people would be walking.

Maybe it's a big play? Apple and VF are still in bed with one another and they've pulled a gagging order untill shops open? I mean, the Apple release earlier in the week, as far as we know still stands?

I give up.  If Vodafone don't make huge apologies today, I'm going to buy outright from anyone BUT Vodafone, and switch to 2degrees.

This is getting crazy. I just want to know why no one has seen fit to release any information yet. Surely someone knows something!

I don't see how this can just be a spat between Apple and Vodafone, if that's all it was then the phone would be on sale as we speak at Magnum Mac and on the Apple store.

I have a feeling it's more of a supply issue and they're waiting for a plane to head over here from Oz with a few of their spares maybe?

The Apple/Voda guys should all be in their offices now with their lattes so surely someone can cobble together a 2 sentence statement!

A spat between Vodafone and Apple doesn't explain other retailers not selling it today...

I take it that all other carriers in the countries listed for the July 30th release have already released their plans, etc?

It's just us?

I just rang Magnum Mac (0800 622 4682) and the very helpful and apologetic lady told me that it is definite that neither Vodafone nor Magnum Mac stores will be selling the iPhone 4 today, and to look out for an official announcement from Vodafone or Apple later today. I asked her whether this applied to other retailers as well, and she replied that it did and the launch is definitely not happening at all today.

wow I am so glad that i decided to wait till after the ipod touch announcement in September. i would be so pissed if i had been expecting to get a ipgone 4 today.

i still may get one if the ipod touch has less specs that the iphone.

the apps i use from the app store are the only this stopping me getting the galaxy s
