Well it doesn't look like much has changed overnight, glad I went to bed.

If there is a genuine problem with shipping then people will accept that but Apple/VF are basically just completely ignoring customers at this stage which is unacceptable.

How can such a high profile launch including other international locations with such a high profile product go so horribly wrong in NZ?

The other question is of course will anyone outside of NZ actually give a s**t?

The lack of supplies claim is BS IMO.

If that were really the issue then Voda and Apple would have known for sure by yesterday at the very latest (and probably much earlier) and wouldn?t have been dumb enough to stay silent and annoy so many people. They also wouldn?t have pulled their iPhone4 page from their website.

All these poor little apple fanboys aimlessly walking around the CBD's of NZ in search of the iPhone 4... Without success.

Should post it can be found at store xxx on twitter and see how many fanboys follow.. <rofl>.

I'm trying to feel sorry for them, but I just can't find it in myself.  Come on guys, it's just a phone!

I have it on good authority it's not a shipping issue. This would have been known for some time and there would have been no reason not to announce it already.

I agree, it sounds like Vodafone and Apple have had a severe meltdown in the relationship. Vodafone has stock, refuses to release it.

Just a theory, but if that is the case I wouldn't expect Vodafone to be an official iPhone carrier for much longer.

It's official. Vodafone have stolen Christmas.

I'm holding them responsible for utterly wasting my time today. They control the stores that are selling them, they know if they can sell them the next day, and they have left their customers completely uninformed.

you are quite correct - the very fact that the page has been pulled yesterday meant that someone has made the call and there would be some production change raised and approved to update the website - whether the reason was known was another thing.

I'm glad that I decided to skip the iPhone 4 and wait for the next release. What a circus act

Couldn't say who it was but he looked knackered.

Poor guy, I say we blame NZ customs. Can't abide them. :)
