If it was a midnight launch I'd be there and still go to work.
I think it'll end up being 9am or something though...I'll have to come up with something crafty so I don't miss out.

I recon if there was more info earlier it would be so much better.
:)

ChrnoXIII: i reckon ae!!! the idea of lining up is great. too bad that in nz there isnt enough of a demand to warrant having to line up :(

you can still line up tho, you'll just be by yourself :p

Probably due to the kiwi nature and most people thinking of a phone as a device to make the odd phone call on rather than a must have life accessory.
Life is still pretty good for those getting out amongst it all and not having an iPhone4 on release day.

I lined up for the 3GS the night before. It was hard case as I started lining up at about 8:00pm. Before 9:00pm two others who weren't sure whether to line up joined in so there were three of us. The next person to line up did so at 6:00am the next morning and by 9:00am opening there were 8 of us lined up.
I can safely say that I could have rocked up at 9:00am for the Vodafone store opening and got my phone no problems. I'm not lining up this time but would like to know the numbers of stock each store is being allocated.
C'mon Vodafone let us know prices and organization about the launch day...and...can I please recommend a midnight store opening.

Maybe we could start a virtual queuing site. That way at least there would be 10 of us or so, and no one would get cold.:)

Well I'm thinking of starting a thread for the central aucklanders, then maybe vodafone will let us in on some info haha

It would just be a cool feeling knowing to have one of the first iPhone 4's for the 30th release date in the world.

How much is the early termination fee? My 3G 24 month contract expires in February but I will be staying on the same plan.

I would like to buy on launch day.

i think what you mean is an early resign fee? to resign you have to have the iphone for at east 12months, after that, its $150

if you meant ETS as in break your contract, it depends on the plan you are on, ask vodafone

rebeltrousers: Joseph...did you work in SCAPA back in the day??
"+Friend"

Anyway, I'm worried about the release being on a Friday. I hope they don't run out of stock before I can get away from work and down to the nearest VF shop. I hate it how apple always makes you feel like you're going to miss out!

Why yes indeed I did!

And yes, it's hard to know where the stock will go (I've just seen it all out in the warehouse, several thousand iPads.... sigh, all allocated of course, none available for staff!)

Cheers,
Joseph.
