ahmad: I always get crap batteries in my iPhones! Not fair!!

As a final resort when I have some time I might backup all my data and then start fresh as a "new phone".

Today when I hit 20% I had:

Usage: 4 hours 14 minutes
Standby: 10 hours 1 minute

I would recommend doing that I got about 2x more life from my iPod touch after doing that. Made it faster aswell

hm.. is this decent? i am always in low signal areas too...

when i reached about 10% and decided to charge i had these stats

Usage: 7hours
Standby: 14hours 1minute

location services + 3G on. wifi for a few minutes. browsing on 3G for the most part with push email+fb. also some relatively short bursts of gaming

only lasted about a day i guess

MattD:
Today not as good performance, from 5am to 8pm now (15hrs..) I am down to 20%.  Having said that, I have been more reliant on 3G connection, bluetooth, and re-paired with car BT and it transferred 1950contacts.
5hrs 20mins usage and 13hrs standby.   Will probably last until bed, and then charge again before morning.

Well it was 5% at 11:30pm last night, and over 6hrs usage.  Happy it lasted from 5am-11:30pm with solid usage. Was 11mins of calling during the day, facetime, gps, browsing, push on 3 mail account, fetch on 3 others, BT. I do not have expectation for a smart phone to last more than 1 day.
Also in comparison if I used 3G tethering on my Nokia 6120 it lasted until lunchtime!

You guys are all getting better than me. Did you "restore from backup"?

I'm going to start afresh when I have the time to ensure my data is not lost.

I was pretty sure it takes a few full cycles for the battery come into full swing? Which is usually a few weeks..?

Any other usage stats from people?

20% today after a FRESH restore and nothing running in the background. The ONLY installed apps are Twitter and Speedtest.net app.

Default (middle) brightness, auto-brightness ON. No email polling or push. 3G is ON

Mainly using Twitter. No phone calls. I don't think even a TXT today.

Usage: 4 hours 3 minutes
Standby: 8 hours 0 minutes

NOT impressed.

Rather happy with mine - following the recommended charging instructions I read somewhere. Do 3 complete charges and run to completely flat cycles - no synching in between - day 4 and only done 2 charges so far.

17% left
Usage 5 hrs 20 mins
Standby 1 day 8 hours

Impressed (compared to last iPhone)

I get the feeling that it is going to be around 5 hours usage regardless of the standby.

I'll see what happens but this is still bad.
