Okay so i know there are some older fave app threads but maybe time for a new round? Here we go!

Games:

  • Deadspace(actually does the series justice)

  • Tiny wings(this is the most addictive game since angry birds)

Entertainment:

  • Pulse news(really good rss feed reader, make reading news pretty!)

  • Stuff.co.nz app(I like reading the news on the app better than the website)

  • Rugby 2011 app(If you like the super rugby this is for you!)

  • Flicks(easiest way to find movie session at your local theater, or even see what new movies are playing)

  • Grabone app(get deals people! stop paying full price!)

  • Trademe app(if you don't already have it, good for keeping an eye on auctions)

Productivity

  • Consume(best way to keep track of usage for phone plan, internet supports most providers in nz too!)

  • Jotnot(makes your phone into a photo copier, works surprisingly well to)

  • Goggles(this is actually part of the Google app, search by taking a photo anyone? had a bump app moment, holy hell its magic!!!)

Photo

  • 360(Cool app that makes taking panoramic pics so so so easy, just press the button and slowly turn around!)

  • Camera+(Sorry the regular camera app sucks, this apps does almost everything you could want from a camera)

Other

  • WhatsApp(by far one of the best app I've got, saves me a load of money + its so much better than the normal sms app and faster. Works perfectly too with my partner who has whatsApp on android.

  • Dominos Pizza(for when you got the muchies!! much better and easier than there stupid website too)

One last thing if you bank with ASB you should bookmark there mobile bank site to you homescreen its so handy.
So everyone what else you got? i need some new apps!!!

I'll only list the ones I use most often:

Games: A crap load but recent ones: Tiny Wings, Collision Effect, Words with Friends

Entertainment/news: Flicks, NPR, Cricinfo, Kindle, Podcaster

Tools/Utilities:
- Calvetica- way better calendar
- Pastebot- clipboard history, integrates with OS X
- Plaintext- really quick plain txt notes editor that integrates with dropbox. Replaces the notes app for me.
- Consume
- Mobile Mouse Pro- really good control your pc app.
- National Bank app
- my phone desktop- send stuff from your pc to iphone. Eg url, sms, email, maps, photos, text

Web
- Atomic Web brower- customizable full screen browsing
- Instapaper- offline reading. The best part of this is they can format pages for easier reading on your phone and if it is a multipage article, they automatically pull the whole thing
- Push Browser- send pages from phone to pc
- xmarks- bookmark and open tab sync
- lastpass- password vault

Social
- Facebook
- whatsapp

Quite a few jailbreak ones as well

Games
- Plants vs Zombies
- Infinity Blade
- Monopoly
- Angry Birds (kinda getting a bit tired of the formula)
- Cover Orange
- Tiny Wings (it's ok - but I get frustrated after a couple of runs)
- Peggle

Apps
- Air Video
- Appigo TODO (good organiser & syncs over wifi with outlook)
- Vodafone app (of course)
- nav free (free turn by turn navigation, based on openstreetmap.org)
- Find NZ
- Rage Faces
- App Shopper (I use the web interface a lot and it is handy to have the app as well to find discounts)
- Al Jazeera English (you can access the streams via mobile.livestation.com through safari)
- Radio Streams New Zealand
- 3 news
- Pocket First Aid (this is useful but costs)
- CPR Choking (good videos - esp if you're a parent)
- Baby Activity Monitor - I don't use this but my wife does with our 3 month old

Annoying apps
- TVNZ (slow, prone to crashing and 'podcasts' don't work over 3G (The 3 news app is way better)
- Skyfire (the flash stuff basically doesn't work very well and the browser itself isn't that great)
- eBuddy pro (ok, but has a tendancy to drop messages (on both msn and gtalk)

Games:

  • Doing a lot of Speedball2 lately (Icecream!)

  • Starting to get into Top Dog (Woof!, and supporting ChCh appeal)

News:

  • Stuff, though it crashes occasionally on startup

  • AJE Live, watching the Middle East revolutions streaming live while in bed

  • A homescreen shortcut to Google Realtime updates for #eqnz

Productivity:

  • I usually use my iPod Touch to be non-productive actually

Other:

  • iBooks, reading up on iOS programming, and making my way through Plato's The Rebublic (hey, it's free!).
