I've just got back from a month away, where I used my iPhone extensively in a range of locations. A lot of the time I left Bluetooth on, because I have a Bluetooth keyboard which I use for serious data entry.

I found that quite often, the WiFi would drop out at random times. A process of elimination narrowed it down to Bluetooth being on. If I disabled Bluetooth, the WiFi would remain rock solid.

I've not seen this with other smartphones I have owned. Obviously in hotels, there's not much I can do about this, but I wonder if others have seen it, and in terms of WiFi networks I do control, are there channels I should use in order to minimise the prospect of this interference occurring?

As usual:
* What model (3G, 3GS, 4)?
* What software version (e.g. 4.2, 4.3)?

etc.

Have you tried changing the wifi subchannel to another one?

This is only good if he could control the WiFi router - which you can't when in a hotel, cafe, etc...

As an Apple iOS Developer, this is actually not the first time I have heard of people having issues similar to this.
If you would like, I would suggest reporting a bug directly to Apple. This will help isolate the issue, and hopefully get it resolved soon.
