I've got 2 Polycom SoundStation 2W wireless conference phones that came as part of an auction lot that I don't require.

Both look in excellent condition and I understand with little use (I believe they were ex defence force).

One unit looks brand new, with the cables still all boxed up, the other has been opened (has a number written in a marker pen on the top) and is missing one of the power adaptors. Not a big deal as the "phone" unit can be charged and left to operate on its internal battery.

Details of the units are at http://www.polycom.com/products-services/voice/conferencing-solutions/conferencing-phones/soundstation2w.html

Looking for offers (reasonable). If nothing comes up I'll throw them on TM.

Can you give me a ballpark of what you're after, not sure what these are worth.

The Polycom 2W makes an awesome SIP wireless speaker phone:
  • Update the firmware to the latest version - this supports the DECT GAP standard for open pairing of DECT phones with base stations.
  • Get a SIP capable DECT GAP base stations (I used a Gigaset base station).
  • Pair the 2W to the base station (and discard the proprietary Polycom POTs line interface).
I've done this now with two Polycom 2Ws and it was painless for me and works well very well.

Cheap 4 cell replacement batteries are currently for sale via ebay too...
