I've currently got a pair of Seagate 750gb drives, wouldn't mind using them in RAID-5 but need a third one. Just wondering if anyone has a spare they'd be willing to part with?

Barracuda 7200.11
ST3750330AS
750Gbytes

I had a quick look on TradeMe and couldn't find anything.

I know the purist wont like this but I have been told not to use the same hard drives in a raid array.
The reason being if there is a software fault ( like there was on the seagate hard drives a few years ago ) they can all stop working around the same time and you are screwed.
The alternitive is to put in 1TB or larger, that way when the 750's fail it will up the storage for you.

I know enough to be dangerous

I do have a Spare 1TB Seagate 7200RPM that I purchased and never used. If you are interested, contact me.

Thanks for the offer, I managed to hunt one down on TradeMe for a fair price so all sorted now.
