Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you.

OK, no takers thus far so price reduced to $580. Buyer collects from Prebbleton or can ship for extra $10.

Sold - that's a shame. I am looking at buying the 314 or the 316 model at the moment.
What did you think of the 314?
What did your client think - obviously they went for something else?

I don't think they did go for something else in the end, it appears that they just didn't quite 'get' the whole NAS idea.

Personally I think these are fantastic units - quiet, powerful, easy to use/expand.  A friend of mine uses his to stream Blu-ray ISO's across to his TV room and it's never skipped a beat.

I have marked this as sold as someone has expressed a very keen interest. However, I am not fully certain that they will follow through. Would you like me to let you know if they pull out?

I have the Readynas 104 and mine is a heap of cow poo. Wouldnt recommend one at all.  Half the time it will freeze when copying files other times it shows up then says cant access and diagnose trouble box opens.  I only use it as a backup as just too flaky for a nas.
I had a readynas NV before it and apart from sounding like a jet engine was flawless.
The 314 may be the one to go for.
But i really wish I paid the extra and bought the synology
