I'm sadly selling my beloved PC. It was built to my specs & fully tested by Computer Lounge and has approx. 3 months warranty remaining. It was designed from the get-go to have the graphics upgraded (kept cost slightly down initially - this was a $2600 build) and was deliberately chosen to have two SSD's rather than one large. I use one SSD solely for games. This system runs Skyrim and others on highest settings.  ASUS P8Z77-V Intel Z77 DDR3 SLI+Crossfire Wi-Fi PCI-E3.0 LGA1155.  Intel Core i7 3770K Ivy Bridge 3.50Ghz 8MB 95W LGA1155
Corsair Hydro Series H80 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
Mushkin Blackline FrostByte 16GB (4x4GB) DDR3-1600 CL9 (993995).
Intel 520 Series 120GB 2.5" SATA3 6GB/s 34nm SSD
Intel 320 Series 80GB 3GB/S 25NM SSD
Seagate Barracuda ST1000DM003 1TB 64MB 6Gb/s SATA3.
Seagate Barracuda 1TB 32MB 6Gb/s SATA3.
Sapphire Radeon HD7850 OC 2GB GDDR5 PCI-E3.0 (11200-01-20G)
LG GH24NS70 24X DVD Writer SATA OEM.
Seasonic M12II 750W 80Plus Bronze Power Supply
Corsair Obsidian Series 550D Mid-Tower Quiet Case.

3 months RTB Warranty remaining.

Included software: Windows 7 Ultimate.
Can leave Office 2010 (the full kit-and-kaboodle version) if wanted.

Monitor: Dell UltraSharp U2410 24" IPS Monitor - almost a year old. Beautiful monitor & fantastic for Photoshop work.

Razer Abyssus mouse.

Razer BlackWidow Ultimate Mechanical keyboard (this is the best keyboard I've ever owned) see: http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-keyboards-keypads/razer-blackwidow-ultimate - also almost a year old.

Looking for $2200 ONO for the lot.

Pickup in Palmerston North or send at your cost to wherever.
Original boxes, manuals and software.

This system has had very little use. I bought it, went overseas for awhile then have spent the past six months too busy to game and not working. Read/writes on the SSD's have been pretty limited as a result.

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

Good luck with the sale Elpie, but I'd be amazed if you got that much for the PC, even on TradeMe.. It'd probably go for closer to half that asking price on somewhere like GPForums.

Ditto... unfortunately PC parts lose a lot of their value pretty quick these days due to the quick turn around in models etc... :(

The value of a new PC build halves when it leaves the showroom.
Set a more realistic price smile

The price I set as a start for negotiation is less than half price, with extras thrown in and with warranty still. Given that I asked around, extensively, and priced at the bottom of what others recommended I thought I was realistic with my opening price.

However, I appreciate the comments from people that are not interested in buying. I had an offer of $1900 for the lot, which I had accepted. The deal fell through after the buyer saw the comments here and decided I must be ripping him off.

C'est la vie.

If you are interested in negotiating a price please contact me privately. Those that have already offered prices from $200 to $600 - I'm not going to bother responding because, sorry, I find your offers really upsetting.

1900 is a fair price although I think you can find a few cheaper on trademe but it would cost around 2500 to get new.

In your original post you stated that "this was a $2600 build" and then asked for $2,200 ONO for a custom-built computer of unspecified age.
Thus the comments about your asking price.
No offense was intended.

I didn't take offense from you and am sorry if that wasn't made clear. I'm mighty peeved at the $200 and $600 offers I got though!
My wording was less than clear - on re-reading I can see that. Damn!
Yep, $2600 build to which I added SSD's, a monitor nearly $700, keyboard that cost me close to $300 (they are now around $230), gaming mouse (now down to $79 new), Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit. It all adds up. Year old with warranties, all boxes & additional cables etc that came with it all. I'm even chucking in my Steelseries mouse mat ;)

Seriously, the price was only to open negotiations. I'm a bit disappointed that the comments put off a prospective buyer but its listed on TradeMe now with no reserve so we will see what happens.

Yea, sad indeed. Those who are not interested to buy should not be commenting at all! I do not understand what are they trying to achieve???

If the price is too high and no one end up buying the desktop, surely the OP can decide what he/she wanted to do! (ie lower the price etc).

I agree with nakedmolerat here. IF YOU AREN'T BUYING THEN YOU SHOULDN'T COMMENT.

Prices are negotiable and this negotiation should be done in private. If people don't buy at the price asked, then the OP can change it. If you think it's expensive, send a PM.

Maybe add this to the "Please read.." or even the to the Rules.
