Hey guys, doing a pre-winter clear out here, this is Part 1 of hopefully a few more to come (although I might lose track at some point...).

Please observe these few basic points and rules:
- I have tested the product(s) to the best of my abilities with whatever spare time I have.
- Unless otherwise stated, these don't have any warranty, therefore they are strictly "as is, where is"
- Please don't waste each other's time with any unrealistic (counter-) offers. Most of the time I will have a price listed for each item
- Don't hesitate to send me a PM if you got any questions. Better to ask BEFORE making an offer/buying

Thanks!

SuperMicro X7DBE Server Motherboard + Intel Xeon 5130 (Dual Core) CPU + 4GB DDR2-667 ECC FB-DIMM RAM

Motherboard: SuperMicro X7DBE Server Board, Dual Socket http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Xeon1333/5000P/X7DBE.cfm' target='_blank'>Specs here

RAM: 4GB Dual Channel DDR2-667 ECC FB-DIMM (4x 1GB modules)

In good physical condition, however it has been iffy in the past. Been relegated to the spare-parts pile and now decommissioned.
It manages to POST every other boot cycle, perhaps it doesn't like an open-air workbench. Screenshot of BIOS POST screen was taken when it worked, so priced accordingly. Rather powerful dual-socket platform if you can get it to work properly.
Please note that it came with a passive heatsink, make sure you have a fan for cooling the CPU.

Price: $40.00 (Pretty much what the CPU and RAM's might worth, motherboard comes "for free")

Please note that I will charge a modest $5.00 on top (call that handling/packaging/time to head down to the post office) of whatever postage cost for the item(s).

Thanks!

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

Hi,

I need a motherboard with CPU for a home storage server. (BTW, Its not a good idea to run them on anti static mats)
Gigabyte GA-945GCMX-S2  looks promising as long as i can get 2GB RAM.

let me know.

They weren't run/tested on the anti-static bags/mats. But photos were taken with them on top (you know, taking all the necessary anti-static handling precautions!

FYI - the Supermicro link is bad.

Just how 'bad' is this board?  Once its running is it 100% stable?  It can can be started, even after a few attempts I am keen, as long as it doesn't crash etc.

Try just C&P-ing the link instead of clicking on it:  http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Xeon1333/5000P/X7DBE.cfm

It is what it is, once it's up does stay stable and can do warm resets, it's when you do a cold reset (power off) that seems to be iffy.
The old ones that WERE in production (2+ years ago), sometimes the CMOS battery's removed and completely unplugged, seems to reset it, but far from an elegant solution.

It's all packed up now and I'm not going to spend any more time testing it (thought someone might make some use of it), hence the low price for it.

The memory and CPU has been tested elsewhere and they are fine.

[Update]:

- ASUS A8N-E/AMD Athlon 64 X2 combo : gone
- 4GB Kit (2x2GB) Kingston DDR2-533 ECC Memory : gone

Everything else is still up for grabs.

And I do really want to clear them out and avoid the hassle of listing on Trade Me, so...

Price update: take $5.00 off all the remaining items above.

That means the Intel Pentium 4 HT 530 + M/B combo is FREE. (pick-up only, postage cost extra)

Also, price for the "SuperMicro X7DBE Server Motherboard + Intel Xeon 5130 (Dual Core) CPU + 4GB DDR2-667 ECC FB-DIMM RAM" combo will be reduced to $20.00

PM me away!

Sorry for the C&P from the end of the original post.

Essentially by the Yellow Pages/Genesis Energy building complex, just before Wendy's.

One last bump for the unsold/still available items, before they go up on Trade Me.
