Hi Guys,

I am needing 120 pen drives and are using them as wedding favours.
Size doesn't matter, but am hoping to spend around $3 each. Anyone know of somewere that has end of line stocks etc. All Warehouse etc have are 8GB minimum now and lowest price I can find is $6.

thanks,
Sam

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

Do you need them in a hurry?

For $2.50-5 per drive you can order them by the hundred from aliexpress or alibaba:

Or perhaps you want to add your own picture to one in a card. Bonus points for good english and comic sans font :D

I've just had a look at 3 reputable IT Distributors we use, and none of these have anything cheaper than what you have already found.

Kingston is a reputable brand that we have been using for years, and until recently I was using this model DT101 on my own keyring and those of my site support techs.  If it was of any interest, I could do these at $6.50 each incl GST (and freight when ordering 50+).  Supplier has more than 20, but I would have to phone to check the current quantity they have if you were interested.

You won't get them for that price. If you did I'd be highly suspicious of their quality. I buy that quantity on occasion and do phone around to get a good price.

Have you thought of just contacting a big retailer such as Ascent, PB Tech etc and asking what they could do?

because lets say you sold them for 10cents each you'd then need to sell hundreds of billions of them at a profit of 5cents each to make any money. And that's before they make their way down the distribution chains and their costs.

I'd be interested to hear from a NZ distributor or retailer that will match or beat the ones you see at aliexpress

They won't. You'd be lucky to do better than saving a few more cents than buying from Ascent who provide both free freight and a discount of $547.40 for a purchase of 120 units against their cheapest usb flash drive.  There's next to no margin in these things - I mean come on they're a few dollars each!

I can get these for $5.18 inc using my account from PB Tech.

If you contact them directly, maybe they can offer a better discount ?

That isn't a bad deal. I'd do that over any other option currently suggested.
